Toronto, ON – Wily Global (WILY), a marketing technology company that specializes in data acquisition and audience engagement, is proud to support the Canadian Cancer Society and their efforts in raising an estimated $16.2 million for this year’s CIBC Run for the Cure. By enlisting WILY – a preferred vendor of several Fortune 500 brands and their agencies – the Canadian Cancer Society developed a digital asset to increase sponsorship opportunities and drive a direct ROI for their partners and reward donors for their contribution with its “Digital Swag Bag.”
Through API integration into the Canadian Cancer Society’s Blackbaud Fundraising software system, WILY’s proprietary SPRY platform powered a “Digital Swag Bag” — each time a donation was made, the donor automatically received an e-mail inviting them to digitally scratch and reveal three discount offers from participating CIBC Run for the Cure sponsors.
“We were thrilled with the Digital Swag Bag, as were our partners. This tactic enabled them to promote their affiliation with the Run in a new and innovative way and gave them further reach and a path to direct ROI,” said Carly Schur, National Director, Corporate Programs, Canadian Cancer Society. “This is a platform that we definitely see ourselves using across our other fundraising initiatives in the future.”
“We were very excited to be able to bring a fresh and exciting new sponsorship tactic to support such an important cause,” said Mike Mulligan, Co-Founder/CMO of WILY. “This is a great opportunity for the Canadian Cancer Society to innovate within the non-profit sector and bring their partners a fun and engaging mechanic that rewards donors for their contribution.”
